Does camera flash hurt babies eyes?

Just about anyone who is good with a camera will eventually be asked to take photos of someone’s baby. If you’re a new parent, you probably take lots and lots of pictures of your new baby.

There are some people who think that use of flash lights when taking photographs of young babies may cause some harm to the baby’s eyes. While it probably does not cause much harm, if any, there are ways of taking photographs which do not need flash, and these would be the safest way of taking photos.

Babies are very sensitive and especially to bright lights like flash. It’s better to avoid flash photography. The pictures could be taken in broad day light or using lamps to create the necessary amount of lighting so that flash is not required.

If it were possible, I would recommend setting up a video camera in every room of the house to record every possible moment at all times, but that would bring up some weary privacy issues with visitors.  If you are planning to take some quick shots during the day, have the camera nearby with the correct setting ready.  If you have to, just leave it on automatic to ensure you capture something when the time comes.  But automatic settings are not always your best option; that flash can get thrown up without warning and ruin everything, not to mention potentially blind your child.  Once you get your camera set, make it possible to take pictures in rapid succession.

Lighting techniques at home

The scene is common. Mom spent the afternoon preparing this delicious birthday cake is almost too good to be eaten. “Let’s start with a picture!” Says the photographer of the family.

The trick, they are the reflectors. Most professional photographers will use mirrors cut and broken in many different forms, each with a specific purpose. It reaches the same thing using aluminum foil, cardboard and masking tape.

How? First, there are three or four pieces of cardboard of various sizes. Then cut a sheet of aluminum foil slightly larger than the cardboard cover – and is crushed to make a first ball in his hands, then you open it slowly to reduce its size original. We then placed our crumpled sheet on the cardboard, making sure it is extended. Folding the excess on the edges of cardboard and fixed in place with tape.

If the equipment used is digital, we must ensure that the white balance is set to Auto or light (Daylight). You can try both settings! Enjoy what you are looking for is the minutes of the warm glow of candlelight.

To achieve the desired effect, you must take advantage of the indirect light. For example, redirect the ambient light from a window or a lamp with your aluminum reflector on your cake. Remember to light the candles! What a wonderful light photos.

Pictured is the light that reveals a detail or blurring, which creates the illusion of depth in the image, which highlights the contours, textures, setting the climate.

Digital photo frame buying guide

The technological revolution, which held bank in the recent past and which still dominates the scene, determined the progressive decline of many devices in common use that until recently had first played a leading role on the world stage.

One of the most visible changes has affected the field of photography where traditional machines were slowly supplanted by digital ones, preferred by users for the versatility and convenience. The abandonment of the film in favor of the card was introduced as a result of different needs in terms of how conservation and cataloging of images. The exclusive use, in previous years, the equipment running through roll calls for the development and printing on the shots executed, including the dissemination of traditional wallets made of transparent plastic. These media, however, clearly not suitable for archiving multimedia files were soon replaced by ad hoc electronic devices, namely the so-called digital photo frames.

In that regard a significant question arises: what was the main factor that caused this epochal change? The answer is very simple: ease of shooting. The machines based on digital technology, in fact, they imposed severe limitations on the user, which is not bound to the reduced ability of a film had the opportunity to indulge creating hundreds of photos in one session.

The high number of captured images, therefore, made it uneconomical to print – unlike what happened previously – and into downloading the personal computer, an instrument that responded poorly to handling requirements. The need to find a solution to this problem has been reached, thus creating a portable and versatile as the digital photo frame, can be at any time and in any case available to those wishing to revise sequence your photos.

The primary function of the digital photo frame is to allow the systematic and organized storage of all those multimedia files created by the use of cameras based on digital technology. These are mainly images with different formats (JPG, BMP …) and parameters for a resolution more or less compact, but with increasing frequency – especially in models with a more high rate of innovation – also limited the length movies and audio tracks and musical compositions. Another feature of secondary importance and not to see well in close correlation with the previous one concerning the consultation of these files, which are reproduced, according to the commands set by the user, either individually or in sequence through a small screen – normally LCD – specially designed.

Panasonic DMC-FZ35: small, compact but with a big zoom

It is difficult to navigate in the panorama of existing cameras, there are for all tastes and all types, suitable for professionals but also designed for those who just want to get the happy memories without spending a fortune.

In this case we look at the digital camera Panasonic DMC-FZ35/FZ38 a car with a fairly compact ultra zoom 12 megapixels can be an ideal instrument for those who love to travel and photograph the world at his feet.

The wide coverage of default is very good right from the start and the tele is just as powerful compared to her sisters but still a rather small car easy to handle and control. The camera lens is a 18x zoom ranging from 27mm or opening to 486, large enough to resume open spaces and panoramic views but also to photograph objects nearby and smaller, however the camera can be improved with ‘ adding some accessories.

The LCD screen of the room is not the only mode of vision on the camera also has the classic electronic pointer, both are very easy to use although rather poor resolution are still comfortable especially when the sunlight. Images captured by the Panasonic DMC-FZ35 are high quality and are just background noise to damage the image quality.

Unfortunately, the fullness of the color is not reflected as well in the final images, especially with regard to the yellow and red. While a detailed photographic images are well profiled the same detail of the border does not exist in video images that they were not great quality both in response to the color that captured in detail.

Overall the car has a rather high average cost that is not reflected in quality but is still fairly inexpensive compared to gender. The Panasonic DMC-FZ35 is still a good product quality guaranteed by the manufacturer that normally produces well-designed cameras.

Perhaps it would be appropriate to suggest the Panasonic DMC-FZ35 for professionals but still a camera suitable for a general audience that can use the Panasonic as a hobby or creative works of memory.

Digital Cameras for Newbies

For those who have never before owned digital cameras, getting your first digital camera is quite exciting. There are so many benefits to owning a digital camera over older analogue models. These benefits all come with the new technology that comes with your digital camera. With this also comes for some people a learning curve. Some already are familiar with how their digital camera operates while many others need to learn. There are some common mistakes new digital camera owners make when using their new camera. By knowing about these common pitfalls new owners make, you can make sure that you don’t fall victim to these common errors.

One of the terrific things about digital cameras is that the photos come in file format. This makes it so easy to share photos with friends and family via an email account. However, a common mistake made by many is sending the original file via email. Original photo files are quite large and their resolution is actually much larger than you could possibly view on your computer screen. Therefore, make sure to decrease the size of the photo prior to emailing. This will also decrease the file size making them transfer much quicker and use less mailbox and disk space.

If you’ve taken photos using the older camera models, then you no doubt have paper photos around your home. Most people go to great lengths to protect these even going so far as putting the negatives in a safe place. Protecting your digital photos should also be done but in a different manner. People often forget to back up their digital photos. This will not only give you another copy if your home should burn down but also in case your computer crashes and you lose everything on your hard drive.

When you purchase your digital camera, it will come with some sort of digital editing program. Many people simply stick with this program. However, you do not have to use this program exclusively in order to edit and work with your digital photos. Do not be afraid to explore other programs that are out there on the market. Typically, these programs are much more specialized and give you many more options.
