Panasonic today announced the launch of the Lumix DMC-GF2, the latest LUMIX G Micro System interchangeable lens. The salient features of the new model are its ease of use and excellent image quality, plus a greatly reduced weight and size than the previous model (DMC-GF1): The footprint is reduced by about 19% and weight of 7%. The compatibility with the Four Thirds standard provides users with all the versatility and performance of interchangeable: in addition to optical LUMIX G, DMC-GF2 can in fact use any Four Thirds interchangeable lens with (via the optional DMW-MA1) and therefore also the prestigious Leica M / R (DMW-MA2M or MA3R).
